ENTRY #8 AI
AI
Technology has always been fascinating to work with, whether using a computer, driving an electric vehicle, or the use any of sort mechanic(s). Not too long ago, humanity could only dream what the future would be like imagining flying cars, holographic projections, or floating cities.
Fast forwarding to the 21st century despite technology's exponential advancement, we are still far from what sci-fi films pictured our way of living. The closest thing that would bring us to this futuristic appeal that our grandparents and ancestors anticipated is the use of AI software in machinery. Humanoid robots already exist, just like in the films we grew up watching for example in "Star Wars" or "I, Robot". The only thing that would make it more alike, is if engineers or scientists implicated this new AI program into these machines and allow them to roam around freely.
As of right now, AI has already shown an enormous breakthrough such as "ChatGPT" created by OpenAI. This software has been utilized to help students accomplish homework, mimic a person's voice, generate articles, encrypt, and so much more. As much as this is delightful, one must think about the negative drawbacks, such as people becoming less productive, computers/machinery taking over many jobs, or accounts being encrypted.
The use of AI software will only become more common use throughout the years and soon with the use of this program we might even be able to work together to get us to our desired future.
I remember the fear engraved in the media of AI taking over but now it seems to be a distant memory. Though AI evolves everyday it seems to have no real ability to exist for its own purpose.
